Let the Beauty We Love

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don't open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.

Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

  1. I need this one, to be reminded that the beauty is what we do, not just using the mind to think about the beauty.

  5. Yes, I remember quoting this once on my blog too. Beautiful in its brevity and simplicity, and always a great comfort and source of inspiration. To be reread constantly!

At the request of a Rumi Reader, I have enabled comments, because I agree that someone, sometime might want to write about the power of Rumi's words. So many times they have met me in ways I just have to share, and so I want you to have that opportunity here. There is no expectation for comments, but please do write something if you feel the urge. ~ Ruth
