Longing

Apollo and Daphne, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini

Longing is the core of mystery.
Longing itself brings the cure.
The only rule is, Suffer the pain.

Your desire must be disciplined,
and what you want to happen
in time, sacrificed.

this poem especially resonates for me, as i have just spent the past 22 months suffering the pain of having my desire discipline, and all that i wanted to happen in time, sacrificed...& it hurts like hell...

Oh, so sorry. May it pass . . .

thanks much, ruth...it actually has begun to pass, as over the course of the past few weeks, i have literally felt like a curse had been lifted, and even had someone i shared my sufferings with be given a word for me from proverbs 26:2, that the "undeserved curse shall not alight"...so thanks so much for your encouragement as well...

Wonderful . . . that it is passing, and the apt line from Proverbs.
