Behind Each Eye

Spring overall. But inside us
there is another unity.

Behind each eye
one glowing weather.

Every forest branch moves differently
in the breeze, but as they sway
they connect at the roots.

  1. a beautiful thought...the limbs each acting on their own, blown by a similar breeze coming together to make something all together different and beautiful...

  2. And when they grow close enough to others the roots form a web of life that can withstand infinite tears, because close networks of supportive roots never completely sever. For that to happen every plant on earth would have to be uprooted at once (and that simple is more or less impossible) it's one of the good kind of things when they just can't happen cause it brings a feeling of safety that no threat can ever overwhelm.

At the request of a Rumi Reader, I have enabled comments, because I agree that someone, sometime might want to write about the power of Rumi's words. So many times they have met me in ways I just have to share, and so I want you to have that opportunity here. There is no expectation for comments, but please do write something if you feel the urge. ~ Ruth
