Night Prayer

Now I lay me down
to stay awake.

Pray the Lord my soul to take
into your wakefulness,

so that I can get this one bit
of wisdom clear.

Grace comes to forgive
and then forgive again.

  3. Ruth, this evening I have been making my way up through April of Rumi Days. I have to say the photographs are extraordinary and so well suited to the texts. I really love the photo of the two windows that accompanies Night Prayer. The one on the left looks like a stained glass window. I was also particularly struck by the one that went with the text titled "Buddhist Sufi" (if I remember correctly).

At the request of a Rumi Reader, I have enabled comments, because I agree that someone, sometime might want to write about the power of Rumi's words. So many times they have met me in ways I just have to share, and so I want you to have that opportunity here. There is no expectation for comments, but please do write something if you feel the urge. ~ Ruth
